2024 Youth Traveller Series
Entry is now open for the 2024 traveller series, get your diaries out and get entering!
The eagle eyed amongst you will note that the series ends in July, following feedback we are moving the series to fall in-line with the academic school year. This means some of the September 2023 events are "double headers" and count for 2023 and 2024. Results so far for the series can be found here.
We're really excited to be joining up with the North West Junior Traveller Series for two events this season. NWJTT sailors will be joining us at Filey SC on 18 May and we'll be heading to Bassenthwaite SC on 15 & 16 June.
We are hosting the event at Filey, the NW series is hosting the Bassenthwaite event so in a slight change to normal, you will need to enter the Bassenthwaite event via this link to the NW series entry page.
We can't wait to introduce the NW sailors to the joy of sailing on the sea and we are very much looking forward to enjoying two days of racing at Bassenthwaite. We hope this will become a regular partnership to increase friendship and sailing competition across the region.

NSSA National Youth Regatta
Sunday 21 July 2024 - Friday 26 July 2024. Bassenthwaite Sailing Club.
We are pleased to announce we will be sending a team to this event.
Entry is now open. You can only attend this event if you are part of an affiliated team (which we are). If you want to attend, please read this information to find out more and then fill out the entry form.
There will be a team building day on Thursday 30 May at Sunderland YC for all sailors representing NEYYSA at this event.

To enter the event, you need to complete the NEYYSA entry form so we have all your details.
Sailors need to join the NSSA.
Parents need to complete the NSSA Parent Consent Form and email it to us.
Sailors will need to complete a medical form nearer the time.

NEYYSA Team Racing 2024

Y&J Regional Winter Race Coaching
The ILCA regional coaching over the 2023/24 winter months was very positively received and extremely well attended. We are planning to run more winter coaching in 2024/25. We hope to extend this coaching format to include other classes. Watch this space!
NSSA Single Handed Team Racing Championships
28 & 29 September 2024 (Burton SC)
Our intention is to enter a team or three into this event. Information will be sent out via the mailing list to find out who wants to attend in early summer 2024.
We will be running some training/practice sessions during the summer holidays. We're just sorting the dates with the coaches and will let you know asap!
Eric Twiname Double Handed Youth & Junior Team Racing Championships
Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 October 2024. Oxford SC
Our intention is to again enter a team or three in this event. Information will be sent out via the mailing list to find out who wants to attend in early summer 2024.
Our experience of this event is that it is pretty "full on" and for a more mellow & supportive introduction to team-racing we really encourage new to team-racers to participate in our regional event on 21 & 22 September first to find their team-racing sea-legs!
